Barista / Bartender Full-Time (40 Hours)

Our Table Café in Southwark is looking for an experienced and passionate Barista / Bartender to join our team at our original site. This is a full-time role of approximately 40 hours per week, with mostly daytime shifts and weekend availability required.
Typical working hours:
- Weekdays: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Weekends: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Pay is competitive and may increase depending on experience.

This role places a strong emphasis on high-quality coffee and latte art, alongside cocktail preparation and front-of-house service. You’ll play a key role in delivering consistently excellent drinks and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
Barista (Primary Focus):
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee using a manual espresso machine
- Produce consistent, high-quality latte art (essential for this role)
- Dial in espresso, monitor extraction, and maintain high coffee standards
- Maintain and clean coffee equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Educate customers about coffee offerings, beans, and brewing methods
- Ensure speed, accuracy, and presentation in every drink
- Keep the coffee station clean, organised, and fully stocked
Bartender Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to a high standard
- Learn and execute the cocktail menu efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised bar area
- Engage with customers and enhance their experience
- Handle payments and assist with stock management
Front of House:
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service at all times
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere
Skills & Experience
- Strong barista experience with a focus on latte art (essential)
- Confident using manual espresso machines and dialling in shots
- Previous bartending experience or willingness to learn
- Passion for coffee, hospitality, and customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Reliable and a strong team player
- Comfortable working weekends (mostly daytime shifts)
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
