About Us
Mayfair Pub & Kitchen is a fast growing hospitality brand blending a relaxed, family friendly restaurant experience by day with a vibrant sports bar and late night party atmosphere by night.
With three successful venues already established, we are opening our fourth site in Durham and we're looking for an experienced and driven Venue Manager to lead this exciting launch.
The Role
This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll manage a venue that transforms throughout the day from welcoming all age dining and casual drinks, to high energy matchdays, and a nightclub style atmosphere on weekends.
You'll need to confidently lead across all service styles, ensuring smooth operations, strong team performance, and an exceptional customer experience at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full day-to-day operation of a multi-concept venue
- Lead and develop a team across restaurant, bar, and late-night service
- Deliver excellent customer experiences for a wide range of clientele
- Manage busy matchdays and transition into high-volume nightlife service
- Drive sales through events, promotions, and upselling
- Control labour, stock, and overall financial performance
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, especially for late-night trading
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and safety
- Create a fun, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing a high-volume pub, bar, restaurant, or late-night venue
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt to different service styles
- Experience in both food-led operations and late-night environments
- Confident running busy shifts, including weekend nightlife service
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and KPIs
- Passion for hospitality, sports, and creating great atmosphere
- Personal licence holder (preferred but not essential

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
