A key role supporting our workplace transformation
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join Burges Salmon on a 12-month fixed-term contract at an exciting time for the firm.
Over the next two years, significant refurbishment projects will be taking place across our Bristol headquarters, including upgrades to reception areas, building infrastructure and workplace facilities. As Facilities Manager, you will take ownership of our day-to-day facilities operations ensuring our people, clients and visitors continue to experience a first-class workplace while this transformation is delivered.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced facilities professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, leading teams, managing suppliers and delivering high standards across multiple sites.
What you'll be doing
Leading day-to-day facilities operations across our Bristol, London and Edinburgh offices.
Managing planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and contractor performance.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety and workplace regulatory requirements.
Managing supplier, landlord and contractor relationships, holding partners to account where required.
Supporting service charge processes, budgets and cost control activities.
Leading and developing a small facilities team.
Supporting office improvement and refurbishment activities while ensuring business continuity.

What we're looking for
Significant facilities management experience within a large corporate or professional services environment.
Experience managing facilities across multiple locations.
Strong knowledge of maintenance, asset management and contractor management.
Experience managing suppliers, landlords and external stakeholders.
A confident communicator who is comfortable challenging where necessary.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
This role is based in Bristol, with regular travel to our London and Edinburgh offices. Due to the operational nature of the role, you will spend the majority of your time on-site.
