To support the Underwriting Operations team in all matters relating to the delivery of robust oversight and controls of all managed syndicates, and the subsequent reporting of underwriting performance and controls to external regulatory bodies and PMA governance forums.
Assist the Underwriting Operations team in the onboarding of new syndicates into the Underwriting Operations and Controls Framework.
To report to the Underwriting Operations Manager and assist in the delivery of the managing agency underwriting operations and controls framework, including the onboarding of new syndicates into the framework.
Support the Underwriting Operations team in the enabling of a robust operating and controls framework for all managed syndicates.
To aid the Underwriting Operations team in the preparation of underwriting performance and exception reporting and in providing analysis and insights into syndicate underwriting performance and activities.
To assist in the advancement and efficiency of underwriting dashboards and reporting.
To work with the Underwriting Operations team and colleagues in the Cheltenham office to help ensure the smooth incorporation of new syndicate data into the ‘tech stack’ and delivery of syndicate reports, accurately and on time. This to include the carrying out of Data Quality Checks as appropriate and identifying areas of concern and deviations from standards.
To assist in the preparation of regulatory returns as required.
To conduct ad hoc reviews and projects as required.
To maintain compliance with Lloyd’s Principles for Doing Business and any applicable UK or International statutory or regulatory obligations as required by the role.

Experience in the Lloyd’s or Company market in an underwriting support function role.
Knowledge of underwriting systems and underwriting management information.
Previous experience dealing directly with clients and managing client relationships

Excellent level of IT skills including Excel.
Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge & Qualifications
Preferably graduate and progress towards ACII qualification or interest in the ACII qualification.
Some understanding of underwriting oversight and controls.
May have previous experience of working in a Managing Agent or in the Company market.
