Barista (Part-Time)
We are looking for a warm, capable and experienced Barista to join our team at The Yard.
As a key part of our front of house team, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest. Alongside making consistently great coffee, you'll support all aspects of front of house service, helping to ensure the café runs smoothly and every guest feels well looked after.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional approach
- Prepare high-quality coffee with consistency and care
- Support with all aspects of front of house service, including taking orders, serving food and drinks, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting guests throughout their visit
- Maintain cleanliness across the front of house, including tables, floors and service areas
- Support the wider team during busy periods to ensure smooth service
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve any issues with confidence and warmth
Requirements
- Strong time management and the ability to prioritise effectively
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Excellent communication skills and a natural ease with customers
- Understanding of food safety practices (desirable)
- Previous Barista experience (minimum of 2 years essential).
Hours
- Friday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Sunday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
With the potential for additional weekday shifts depending on availability.
A driving licence is essential due to our rural location.
