Mills Engineering Electrical (ACCM Southwest LTD) is a specialist electrical contractor delivering high-quality electrical installations, maintenance and electrical engineering solutions, primarily throughout the water industry. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team working primarily in the water industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to take ownership of projects from initial client meetings through to successful completion.
The Role
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing a variety of electrical projects across clean water and wastewater treatment sites.
Your duties will include:
- Meeting with clients on site to understand project requirements.
- Carrying out site surveys.
- Preparing quotations and cost estimates.
- Producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Planning and managing projects from start to finish.
- Ordering materials and coordinating deliveries.
- Managing site labour and subcontractors.
- Providing technical support to electricians on site.
- Monitoring project progress, budgets and programmes.
- Maintaining excellent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with BS 7671, WIMES standards and client specifications.
About You
Our ideal candidate would be someone who has:
- Experience within the electrical contracting industry.
- A strong understanding of industrial electrical installations.
- The ability to interpret electrical control panel drawings
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Knowledge of WIMES standards.
- Experience with Motor Control Centres (MCCs), variable speed drives, control systems and instrumentation.
- SMSTS.
- ECS Gold Card.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Testing and Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
