Overview
Higher State Design (Property Maintenance & Refurbishment) is the in-house maintenance arm of an established Wimbledon property group. We are looking for a reliable, multi-skilled handyperson to carry out repairs, maintenance and small refurbishment work across our managed residential properties in and around South West London.
This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who takes pride in their work, is good with people, and can be trusted to manage their own day across multiple sites.
What you'll do:
- General repairs and planned maintenance across our property portfolio
- Basic plumbing (leaks, taps, simple installations) and minor electrical tasks
- Carpentry, fixing and fitting, door and lock work
- Painting, decorating and making-good
- Tiling, sealant work and small refurbishment jobs
- Responding to maintenance call-outs and keeping clear records of work completed
- Liaising professionally with tenants, landlords and the office team
What we're looking for:
- Proven hands-on experience as a handyperson, multi-trader or property maintenance operative
- Genuinely multi-skilled across several trades
- Reliable, punctual, presentable and confident dealing with people (you'll often be working in tenants' homes)
- Full UK driving licence and own transport (you will travel between properties)
- Your own basic hand tools
- Local to, or able to easily cover, the South West London / SW19 area
What we offer:
- Salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per year depending on experience and breadth of skills
