About the role and team
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping people live independently through innovation, technology and person-centred practice?
This is an exciting opportunity to join Mole Valley Life, the Community Support and Technology Enabled Care (TEC) service at Mole Valley District Council. As our Senior TEC Occupational Therapist, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and developing our preventative approach to supporting residents to remain safe, independent and connected within their own homes.
Supporting the Council's ambition to help residents live healthier, more independent lives, you will lead on the clinical delivery of our Technology Enabled Care service, ensuring high-quality occupational therapy practice, robust governance and excellent outcomes for service users. You'll work alongside health, social care, housing and voluntary sector partners to embed a "TEC First" approach that maximises independence, delays the need for ongoing care and supports positive risk management.
This is a varied role combining strategic leadership, clinical expertise and operational delivery. You'll provide professional advice and guidance across the service, oversee complex assessments, support service development, lead quality assurance and safeguarding activity, and promote innovative uses of assistive technology across Mole Valley Life services.
You'll also manage and develop our Data and Insights Officer, helping ensure the service continues to demonstrate measurable benefits and delivers an exceptional experience for residents.

What we are looking for from you
We're looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who is ready to lead, innovate and inspire.
You will have:

Experience working in a senior Occupational Therapy role within health or social care, supporting older and vulnerable adults.
- Experience leading or working within multi-disciplinary teams and providing professional advice on rehabilitation, independence and person-centred care.
- Strong knowledge of health and social care pathways, safeguarding, legislation and strength-based practice, with the ability to manage complex clinical situations confidently.
- Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills, with a passion for driving service improvement and embedding innovative Technology Enabled Care solutions.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands and make sound professional decisions within a fast-paced environment.
Essential requirements include:

Degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Full UK driving licence (maximum six penalty points).
- Willingness to undertake home visits and partnership working.
- Participation in emergency callouts during normal working hours when required.
