We're looking for a Civils Foreperson to join our water and wastewater treatment works team based in Harpenden.
Location: Harpenden STW, Marquis Lane, Harpenden
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee day-to-day construction operations related to the development and construction of water and wastewater treatment works. You'll ensure that all work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the required specifications, while managing forepersons, supervisors, subcontractors, and resources on-site.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Civils Foreperson, you'll be working within the water and wastewater treatment works team, supporting them in delivering high-quality construction projects. Your day to day will include:
- Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of supervisors, work teams, and subcontractors
- Interpreting project plans, drawings, and specifications to delegate work assignments effectively
- Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring all personnel adhere to safety regulations and company policies
- Monitoring work quality, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any arising issues
- Providing guidance and mentorship to operatives, creating a productive and positive work environment
What are we looking for?
This role of Civils Foreperson is great for you if:
- You have experience in a supervisory or foreperson role within the construction industry, preferably in the water sector
- You hold an NVQ level 3 or similar qualification within construction sector skills or management
- You have a CSCS card (Supervisory/Manager) and SMSTS certification
- You can read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications
- You hold a Full driving licence
