Yard Operative – Farm Shop & Yard

Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
- Accommodation available on site if required
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Yard Operative to join our friendly team on a busy working farm in Coleshill. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines working in our Farm Shop with general yard duties, including unloading trailers and supporting the day-to-day operation of the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, has a positive attitude, and is keen to develop new skills. Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to gain experience and upskill on a JCB Telehandler.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting customers in the Farm Shop, providing friendly and professional service.
- Unloading trailers safely and efficiently.
- General yard duties, keeping the site clean, organised, and safe.
- Loading and moving stock around the yard.
- Supporting the wider farm team with day-to-day operational tasks.
- Learning to operate a JCB Telehandler (training provided for the right candidate).
What We're Looking For
- A proactive, switched-on individual with a strong work ethic.
- Mechanically minded with an interest in machinery and practical tasks.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- A full UK driving licence is essential unless you will be living in the on-site accommodation.
