Working Hours
- Part-time: 24.25 hours per week
- Pattern: 3 days per week (2 days clinical nursing, 1 day reception)
- Daily Hours: 08:45 – 18:00 for clinical days / 08:45 – 17:30 for the reception day (all days include a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Nursing Duties:
- Provide advanced, efficient chairside support across general and cosmetic treatments.
- Maintain flawless infection control and decontamination room procedures.
- Set up, clean down, and meticulously sterilise dental surgeries and instruments in line with HTM 01-05.
- Prepare, mix, and handle all dental materials accurately as required by the clinician.
- Monitor, track, and order surgery stock to ensure clinical areas are always fully equipped.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance checks and log compliance data.
- Take, process, and save digital radiographs safely in line with IR(ME)R regulations.
- Provide reassuring, empathetic care and post-operative instructions to nervous patients.
Front-of-House Receptionist Duties:
- Act as the warm, professional face of the practice, greeting patients and managing arrivals.
- Oversee the appointment book using SOE, optimizing diary templates to maximize surgery efficiency.
- Answer incoming calls, handle patient queries, and manage the practice email inbox.
- Process patient payments, issue invoices, and manage day-end financial reconciliation.
- Support clinical administration by updating digital treatment plans and medical histories.
- Coordinate laboratory work, tracking cases out and ensuring they return ahead of patient visits.
- Maintain compliance files, archive records securely, and follow strict GDPR guidelines.
- Handle patient recalls and follow-ups to maintain strong practice attendance numbers.
What We Are Looking For
- GDC Registered Dental Nurse.
- Comfortable and capable handling fast-paced front-of-house reception duties.
- Experience using SOE for software charting, scheduling, and billing is ideal, but full training will be given.
- Excellent communication, organisational skills, and a warm patient-facing manner.
- A highly reliable team player who takes pride in supporting colleagues.

- GDC Registration: Active registration required.
- CPD / PDP: Up-to-date Personal Development Plan and Continuous Professional Development records.
- DBS Check: An enhanced DBS check is required for this role. If you do not currently hold a valid check, this will be sought on your behalf upon a successful offer.
