Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Parts Advisor / Sales Assistant to join our Maidenhead branch. You will greet and assist customers in person and on the phone, identify and supply correct automotive parts using electronic catalogues, provide product knowledge and technical advice, and support sales activity to meet individual and team targets. You will work closely with the warehouse and wider branch team to ensure orders are processed, picked and dispatched accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner by phone and in person.
- Handle incoming customer enquiries via telephone and email.
- Identify and supply correct automotive parts using electronic catalogues.
- Provide technical product advice and guidance to support customer choices.
- Engage in sales activities to achieve individual and team targets.
- Process customer transactions and orders quickly and accurately.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trade and retail customers; handle inquiries and complaints effectively.
- Work with the warehouse team to ensure accurate picking and dispatch of orders.
- Participate in ongoing product and sales training and support branch goals.
Person Specification / Requirements
- Demonstrable, relevant experience in a customer-facing sales role within the automotive parts, motor factor, or retail sector.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and familiarity with electronic cataloguing systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer-based systems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Positive, professional attitude and strong team ethic.
