Reports To: Production Manager
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 pm – 6:00 am
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per annum (Dependant on Experience, open to discussions).
Purpose of the Role:
To supervise the night shift production team while ensuring the Amada fibre laser and automated loading tower operate safely and efficiently throughout the shift. The successful candidate will maximise machine uptime, monitor production, maintain quality standards and ensure work is completed in line with the Production Manager's instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and support the night shift production team.
· Operate and have good working knowledge of Amada Machinery (Laser/Punch/Press Brakes) to maximise production throughout the night.
· Monitor machine performance and carry out basic troubleshooting where appropriate.
· Allocate work and monitor production to meet targets.
· Maintain quality standards and follow ISO 9001 procedures.
· Promote and enforce Health & Safety policies and safe working practices.
· Report machine faults, production issues and maintenance requirements.
· Complete shift reports and provide a detailed handover to the Production Manager.
· Maintain good housekeeping and ensure company procedures are followed.
Skills and Experience
· Proven experience operating fibre laser cutting machines is essential.
· Experience using automated loading tower systems is highly desirable.
· Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Good knowledge of sheet metal production processes and machinery.
· Knowledge of welding and the ability to read fabrication drawings are a significant advantage.
· Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
· Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
· A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is required.
· Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage the night shift effectively.
Job Summary

This role involves supervising team members, managing inventory and shipping processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Night Shift Supervisor will play a vital part in maintaining efficient workflow, optimising processes, and supporting organisational objectives within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Our Ideal candiate will have previous experience operating Laser Cutting Machines, preferably Amada but not a necessity.
