We are looking for an experienced HGV mechanic/technician to join our team at Ace Grab Hire and Haulage Ltd. You will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of a fleet of 8x4 tipper and grab lorries and have experience working within a dealership or maintenance environment. The ideal applicant will have good knowledge of Scania and Volvo trucks and crushing a screening equipment.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
· Following the repair process from fault analysis to completion
· Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI’s)
· HGV Pre MOT inspections and servicing
· Present vehicles for MOT/brake testing
· Fault diagnostics
· Welding
· Completing relevant paperwork
· Test driving vehicles following repairs
· Ordering parts
· Good understanding of electrics, pneumatics and hydraulics
· Problem solving and working independently
This is a self employed position
