The Role
Following a strategic review of our commercial operating model, we are recruiting a Customer Activation Executive to support the execution of customer plans across retail and distribution channels. The role will play a key part in translating brand, channel and account strategies into clear customer activation plans, ensuring that product launches, promotional campaigns, customer assets, trade marketing requirements and internal milestones are coordinated and delivered with pace, accuracy and consistency.
This role would be perfect for someone with previous experience in sales, category or marketing in an FMCG environment, who is looking to take the next step in their career.

The work - Your 4 most important responsibilities
- Customer Activation Execution – Support the delivery of customer activation plans across retail and distribution accounts, ensuring activity is executed on time and to the required standard.
- Commercial Coordination – Coordinate launches, promotions, customer assets, trade plans and executional requirements across internal teams and customer-facing stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Delivery – Work closely with sales, marketing, category, supply chain, finance and customer service teams to ensure customer activity is aligned, visible and delivered effectively.
- Performance Tracking – Track activation progress, highlight risks and opportunities, and support reporting against customer, channel and commercial objectives.
Accountability – what you are responsible for delivering
- Support the development and execution of customer activation plans across priority retail and distribution accounts.
- Coordinate customer-specific launch plans, promotional activity, trade marketing requirements, retailer assets, activation timelines and point of sale material production.
- Maintain clear activation trackers, ensuring key milestones, owners, risks and next steps are visible across the Commercial team.
- Work with sales, marketing, category, supply chain, finance and customer service to remove executional blockers and keep plans on track.
- Prepare customer-facing information, internal updates and post-activation summaries that support strong commercial decision-making.
- Support the Commercial team with customer meeting preparation, activation follow-up actions and promotional performance review inputs.
- Identify opportunities to improve the consistency, pace and quality of customer activation across the business.

- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple customer activations, deadlines and stakeholders at pace.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of how customer activity supports revenue, distribution, margin and brand objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to coordinate across sales, marketing, supply chain, finance and customer service.
- High attention to detail, ensuring customer information, assets, timings and execution requirements are accurate and complete.
- Comfortable using data, customer feedback and activation performance insight to identify risks, opportunities and improvement areas.
- Previous experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), sports nutrition, retail, customer activation, commercial operations, category or trade marketing would be advantageous.

- Customer activations, launches and promotions are delivered on time, accurately and with clear ownership across internal teams.
- Customer-facing materials, activation trackers and internal updates are complete, accurate and consistently maintained.
- The Commercial team has improved visibility of activation progress, risks, opportunities and follow-up actions.
- Activity contributes to stronger delivery of agreed customer, distribution, promotional and revenue objectives.

- Demonstrable experience operating across Fast Moving Goods (FMCG) / Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) businesses within sales, category, activation or marketing roles
- Proactive, action-orientated and comfortable driving execution in a fast-moving commercial environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to follow-through, ownership and stakeholder communication.
- Commercially curious, with an interest in retail execution, customer planning, shopper behaviour and brand activation.
- Collaborative, resilient and able to build productive working relationships across functions and levels of the business.
