Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Breakfast Waitress to join our bustling hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service during breakfast hours, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth operation of the dining experience. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate orders for breakfast dishes, beverages, and special requests
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any needs or concerns
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including table clearing and resetting
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, adhering to food safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or similar roles is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with food preparation, kitchen procedures, or culinary practices is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle busy breakfast periods effectively
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance the guest experience
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and balancing tills
