Store Manager
Representing HomePlus Furniture, you'll be the driving force behind one of our showrooms, leading by example to create an exceptional experience for every customer. We're looking for an inspiring leader who loves developing people, driving sales, and creating a welcoming showroom where both customers and colleagues feel valued.
This is a full-time role, working five days per week on a rota, with some weekend and Bank Holiday working required. You'll lead the day-to-day operation of the showroom, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional customer service while driving sales and maintaining the high standards our customers expect from HomePlus Furniture.
We're looking for someone with proven retail management experience, ideally within furniture or homewares, who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment. You'll be passionate about developing your team, delivering results, and representing the HomePlus Furniture brand with pride.
What you'll be doing
- Leading, motivating and developing your showroom team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Taking full ownership of the day-to-day performance and profitability of the showroom.
- Driving showroom performance by achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Recruiting, training, coaching and developing a high-performing sales team.
- Conducting regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and ongoing coaching sessions.
- Creating a welcoming, personalised shopping experience for every customer.
- Monitoring sales performance and implementing action plans to continually improve results.
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales through effective merchandising, promotions and team development.
- Handling escalated customer enquiries and ensuring every issue is resolved professionally and fairly.
- Ensuring the showroom is beautifully presented and maintained to the highest standards.
- Managing stockroom organisation and supporting stock accuracy.
- Planning and implementing promotional activity and seasonal displays.
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the showroom, including rotas, absence management and team performance.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, operational procedures and health and safety standards.
- Working closely with Head Office to support new product launches, marketing campaigns and business initiatives.
- Leading by example and fostering a positive, supportive team culture.
Who we're looking for
- Previous experience managing a retail team, ideally within furniture or homewares.
- A proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing high-performing teams.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- A natural leader who enjoys motivating, coaching and developing others.
- Commercially minded with the confidence to identify opportunities and make decisions.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- Calm and confident when managing challenging situations.
- A genuine interest in furniture, interiors and home design.
- Authentic, approachable and passionate about helping people succeed.
- A positive, can-do attitude with the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
