Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ) with significant post-registration experience within adult mental health services and previous management experience.
We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager ( RMN ) to lead a specialist service supporting adults with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities and related physical or sensory support needs. This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Blackburn, Accrington, Burnley, Darwen, Preston, Chorley, Clitheroe, Rossendale and surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced RMN who has previous experience running a unit or service and is confident leading a team, overseeing clinical governance and maintaining high standards of care.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, including staff recruitment, induction, training, supervision and development, while ensuring residents receive safe, personalised and recovery-focused care.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, mental health legislation and CQC requirements, with the ability to lead from the front and drive continuous improvement across the service.
- Overall management and leadership of the service
- Provide clinical leadership and manage, recruit, train and develop the staff team
- Oversee care planning, risk management and safeguarding
- Ensure CQC compliance and maintain the service’s rating
- Manage staffing, resources, KPIs and day-to-day service delivery
- Provide clinical supervision, advice and mentorship
- Liaise with families and wider multidisciplinary professionals
- Support residents to achieve positive outcomes and greater independence
- Drive ongoing service development and improvement
- A Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ) qualification
- Significant post-registration experience within adult mental health services
- Previous management experience within a mental health or care setting
- Experience in recruitment, staff management and team development
- Experience providing induction, training, supervision and appraisal
- Strong knowledge of adult safeguarding
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK without s p o n s o r s h i p
- Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and standards
- Strong knowledge of mental health legislation, risk assessment and capacity frameworks
- Experience managing resources and budgets
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
- 33 days' annual leave including Bank Holidays
- Full-time, permanent position
