About Arcola
Arcola is a UK-based print, signage and manufacturing company producing a wide range of custom display, print and fabricated products.
Due to increased summer demand, we are looking for a temporary worker to support our busy production team. An immediate start is essential.
The Role
We are looking for a physically fit, hands-on and active person with good practical and manual skills.
The role will involve packing, hand assembly and basic fabrication work within our print and signage department. You will work across different areas of production, helping to prepare, assemble, check and pack products ready for dispatch.
This position would suit someone who enjoys practical work, is comfortable using their hands and can maintain a good working pace throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Picking, checking and packing products for dispatch
- Carrying out hand assembly and basic fabrication tasks
- Assisting with the production of print and signage products
- Preparing materials and components for manufacture
- Checking completed products for quality and accuracy
- Following packing procedures to prevent damage in transit
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
- Assisting with incoming deliveries and general warehouse duties
- Working efficiently to meet daily production and dispatch targets
- Supporting different production departments as required
Requirements
- Available to start immediately
- Physically fit and comfortable with an active role
- Good practical ability and hand skills
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions accurately
- Comfortable standing, lifting and carrying throughout the working day
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work at a fast pace during busy periods
Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.
Beneficial Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Print and signage production
- Basic carpentry or woodworking
- LED assembly and wiring
- Large-format printing
- Product assembly or light fabrication
- Operating CNC routing tables
- Operating laser-cutting machinery
- General workshop, warehouse or manufacturing work
