Job Purpose
The Property Assistant will suppot in the day-to-day management and smooth operation of The Tramshed, a 316-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Preston.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the The Tramshed team – Preston's number one rated PBSA on Student Crowd – taking pride in maintaining its market-leading reputation while continually enhancing the resident experience and ensuring the building operates efficiently, safely, and professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure the building is maintained to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
· Manage planned and reactive maintenance, working closely with contractors and in-house teams.
· Monitor and maintain compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements.
· Conduct regular inspections of communal areas and facilities, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
· Provide a professional and friendly front-of-house presence for students and visitors.
· Carry out regular student events and engagement activities
· Handle day-to-day queries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and empathetic manner.
· Promote a positive living environment by supporting community engagement and wellbeing.
· Ensure safeguarding and student welfare procedures are understood and followed.
· Maintain accurate records, including health & safety checks, incident logs, and contractor visits.
Person Specification
Property Experience
Experience in residential or student buildings
Experience in PBSA or BTR sectors
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Organisation & IT
Competent with Microsoft Office and reporting tools
