Main responsibilities
- Contact local councils, charities, probation services, support organisations and other referral agencies.
- Promote available supported accommodation.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with referral partners.
- Identify suitable potential resident referrals.
- Follow up enquiries by telephone and email.
- Arrange viewings, assessments and introductions where required.
- Keep accurate records of contacts, leads, referrals and outcomes.
- Help reduce vacancies across our supported-accommodation properties.
- Attend local meetings and networking events where appropriate.
- Regularly communicate available rooms to relevant organisations.
Resident engagement
- Visit residents and conduct basic welfare checks.
- Build positive and professional relationships with residents.
- Encourage residents to engage with support and scheduled appointments.
- Identify concerns relating to residents’ wellbeing, behaviour or accommodation.
- Report safeguarding concerns promptly.
- Record visits and important conversations accurately.
- Help residents understand property expectations and responsibilities.
Property visits
- Visit supported-accommodation properties across Birmingham.
- Check bedrooms, communal spaces and external areas.
- Identify cleanliness, maintenance and safety concerns.
- Take photographs and complete simple property reports.
- Report repairs and follow up outstanding issues.
- Check that required notices, logbooks and safety equipment are present.
Essential requirements
- Confident speaking to people by telephone, email and face to face.
- Able to build professional relationships with external organisations.
- Proactive and comfortable approaching potential referral partners.
- Organised and able to follow up leads consistently.
- Professional and respectful when working with vulnerable adults.
- Able to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Basic computer skills, including email, Word and spreadsheets.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Willing to travel between properties and organisations in Birmingham.
- Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check.
