Job Summary
Ryjock Flooring are a commercial flooring contractor based in Sheffield. We install all types of soft flooring. We are seeking a proactive, methodical and enthusiastic individual to help continue our growth. As an additional member of the team you'll be helping secure a strong pipeline of work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates based on project drawings, specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare accurate take-offs, measurements, Bills of Quantities and cost estimates using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project scope and requirements.
- Manage the subcontractor and supplier enquiry process, analysing quotations to ensure compliance, competitiveness and best value.
- Produce pricing comparisons, fixed price analysis and supporting documentation for tender settlements.
- Support the preparation of Contractor's Proposals, PQQ submissions and other pre-construction documentation as required.
- Completion of project CSA.
Skills
- Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, preferably soft flooring.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to produce precise estimates and surveys.
- Proficiency in estimating software tools and MS Office applications to streamline calculations and documentation.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- A proactive approach with strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good commercial awareness

Pay: £45,000.00 per year
