Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and support to elderly individuals. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the elderly with daily activities, promote their independence, and ensure their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assist elderly individuals with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help elderly individuals with mobility issues and provide assistance with walking or transferring.
- Engage our service user's in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement and monitor individualized care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for elderly residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to alleviate feelings of loneliness or isolation.
- Document care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate personnel.
A full enhanced DBS check will be required.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with elderly residents and their families.
- Previous experience working in a care home is advantageous but not vital as full training is provided.
