One of the largest boat hire companies in the SouthWest is looking to recruit a Housekeeper / Chambermaid / Cleaner to join our team.
We have nearly thirty boats of different sizes between two sites.
This is a unique environment where there are a lot of different engaging activities with holiday boats, day boats, a restaurant boat and bed and breakfast making it an interesting and engaging place of work.
You would be able to work on your own or as part of a team & deliver a high standard of work within defined timescales with an attention to detail.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about work, and happy to take on extra responsibility where needed.
You will be required to make beds, clean the interior of the boats, kitchen, polish chrome taps, hoovering etc. Every area must be cleaned. You will be expected to clean to a 'very high' standard within the time given.
You must be motivated and take pride in your work.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as hoovering, sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
- Ensure all boat interiors are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits etc regarding boats
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
Job Type / Category
Hours : Generally start from 9 and can go till 5 pm or shorter shifts during the week.
15 - 30 hours with some shifts over the weekend.
Flexibility is useful but not essential.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Some experience in the leisure industry , hotels, holiday lets etc would be helpful but not essential.
Being reliable and having a good attention to detail with high standards of cleanliness and customer service are what we require.
Pay: £11.43-£12.00 per hour
