The Role
As the Management Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the business and key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities as Management Accountant will include:
- Preparing accurate, timely monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, KPIs) with strong balance sheet control.
- Prepare monthly board packs and associated commentary
- Partnering with Operations and Procurement to maintain standard costs and ensure any trends are tracked.
- Assist with the annual statutory accounts
- Support with budgeting and forecasting, producing insightful commercial analysis across sales, margin, profitability and working capital KPIs.
- Providing proactive support to the Financial Controller and wider team, offering technical guidance where needed.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is proactive and commercially focused.
You will have:
- Proven experience in a management accounting role as a management accountant, assistant accountant or finance manager
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and the ability to work independently.
- Qualified Accountant through CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Hands‑on, collaborative approach with the ability to work closely with operations.
