United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trusts’ Fleet & Logistics team provides a wide range of non-patient transport services in collaboration with a number of other NHS organisations across the whole of the county. Items transported include, internal courier mail, health records, patient food, pharmacy, stores, diagnostic specimens and medical instruments.
This relief driving post based at Pilgrim Hospital Boston will involve driver cover for the movement of time critical pharmacy products, internal mail and equipment, etc. to support the Trusts' clinical activity. The post holder will be required to read addresses, sort internal mail, manually secure the vehicle load, be able to load/unload the vehicle and must be capable of and have vocational experience of driving various vehicle types including passengers cars and light commercial vehicles up to 3500 kg Gross Vehicle Weight (or up to 5000 kg GVW for category C1 licence and Driver CPC card holders). The post holder should be available to work excess hours (up to 37.5 hours per week) over an above the contracted hours as and when required by the service.

Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
