Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Roofing Driver/Labourer to join our roofing team. This role involves transporting roofing materials, assisting with installation tasks, and supporting the overall progress of roofing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be comfortable with manual labour, and possess basic construction skills. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience within the roofing and construction industry while contributing to high-quality project delivery.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport roofing materials and tools to various sites.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
- Support roofing teams by preparing work areas.
- Assist with the installation of roofing components, including laying out materials and ensuring proper alignment.
- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, and drills to support roofing tasks.
- Perform general labouring duties including heavy lifting of materials, cleaning work sites, and organising supplies.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during operations on-site.
- Support other construction activities such as joinery, masonry, plumbing, or fabrication as required.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Previous construction or roofing experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills on-site.
- Clean driving license and over the age of 25 for insurance purposes.
