Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services that meet the company’s operational needs while ensuring the best value for money. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain efficient supply chains and support business objectives
Duties
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with company procedures
- Monitor stock levels and forecast purchasing needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations
- Track market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Resolve any supply or delivery issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and purchasing systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CIPS qualification (or working towards it)
- Experience in [industry-specific field, if applicable]
