Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines SCM to produce precision parts and components. Your mechanical knowledge, fabrication skills, and familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software will be essential in ensuring high-quality output. Duties
- Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming files based on project specifications
- Operate CNC milling machines and other equipment to produce parts according to detailed drawings and specifications
- Interpret CAD models and SolidWorks designs to ensure accurate machining processes
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools and measurement devices to verify quality standards
- Adjust machine settings as needed for optimal performance and precision during production runs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling of materials and waste disposal
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with CNC equipment, including programming errors or tooling problems, utilizing knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) when applicable
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication, welding, and assembly processes
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks for designing and reviewing parts
- Experience operating milling machines and other CNC equipment with a focus on precision manufacturing
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation control
- Ability to handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques
- Skilled in using hand tools for setup, inspection, and minor adjustments
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings
- Warehouse experience is a plus for managing inventory of tooling and raw materials
