BRB Temps Children are proud to be launching our specialist Children's Temporary Staffing Division, providing high-quality support staff to children's residential homes across Merseyside and the surrounding areas.
We are seeking experienced and passionate Children's Residential Support Workers who are committed to helping children and young people achieve positive outcomes. Whether you are looking for full-time agency work or additional shifts around existing commitments, we would love to hear from you.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 12 months' UK experience working within a Children's Residential Home
- Experience supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The right to work in the UK without restrictions or limitations
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and sleep-ins
Desirable
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 4 qualification in Residential Childcare or Leadership and Management
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience working within EBD, LD, complex care, or therapeutic settings
Responsibilities
- Supporting children and young people with their daily routines and activities
- Promoting independence, positive behaviours, and life skills
- Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Supporting education, appointments, and community activities
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
- Following care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
