Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bricklaying, blockwork, and general masonry, with hands-on experience using both hand and power tools. This role involves working on a variety of construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of building materials in mortar to construct and repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate work.
- Prepare and mix mortar to the correct consistency.
- Measure and cut materials to required specifications.
- Ensure structures are level, aligned, and structurally sound.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on existing brickwork and masonry.
- Work on residential, commercial, and site-based construction projects.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Carry out heavy lifting as required during construction activities.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid driving licence and be able to drive.
- Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and plans.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- High attention to detail with strong workmanship standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- CSCS card (preferred/required if applicable).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and meeting deadlines.

Pay: £14.49-£24.63 per hour
