Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate has to be experienced operating a range of conventional and CNC machining equipment and be confident working to high standards of accuracy and quality.
Candidates must be competent and experienced with the following:
- Manual & CNC Lathes
- Milling Machines
- Drilling Machines
- Slotting Machines
- Giddings & Lewis Union Horizontal CNC Borers
- Vertical Machining Centres (VMC)
- XYZ Machines
- Webster CNC Machines
- Webster Manual Machines
- RLX Lathes
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating a variety of machining equipment
- Producing precision components to drawing specifications
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Carrying out quality checks using inspection equipment
- Working with a range of materials and machining requirements
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a machine shop environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC and manual machining processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience with one-off and small batch precision engineering preferred
- Location: Old Deer, Mintlaw AB42 5LJ
Pay: £35,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
