Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Electrician / Electrical Mate to join our team on a large-scale new build residential development in London.
The role will focus primarily on the installation of electrical containment within the infrastructure areas of the building, including plant rooms, risers, corridors, service areas and other communal/back-of-house spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Install electrical containment systems including cable tray, basket, trunking, conduit and Unistrut/support systems.
- Set out and install containment to drawings and project specifications.
- Work within risers, plant rooms, corridors, service areas and other infrastructure areas.
- Measure, cut, fabricate and install containment accurately.
- Install brackets, supports and associated fixings.
- Coordinate containment installation with other trades and site requirements.
- Read and work from electrical drawings and containment layouts.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and keep work areas clean and safe.
- Follow site health & safety procedures and project requirements.
- Assist with general electrical installation duties where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience installing containment on new build commercial or residential projects.
- Good knowledge of cable tray, basket, trunking, conduit and support systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- ECS/JIB card preferred.
- 18th Edition preferred.
- Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
