Home Care Support Worker
Hours available: Full Time or Part Time and weekend shifts available
Rates of pay: Starting from £13.20/hour

We created our domiciliary care services to offer some peace of mind to the people living at home and their families. From visits once or twice a day to 24/7 at-home support, our home care team is dedicated to providing tailored services to those who need it most.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Support Workers to provide exceptional in-home care to clients with diverse needs. This role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within their homes and communities. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, disability support, or related fields, and possess a strong commitment to improving clients’ quality of life through personalized care and support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
- Support clients with meal preparation, cooking, and nutritional needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Observe and document patient condition, reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids safely and effectively
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Assist with patient monitoring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions
- Support clients with developmental disabilities or autism through tailored activities and interventions
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare teams, ensuring adherence to prescribed protocols
- Requirements
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including first aid, CPR, and medication administration
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or developmental disorders is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for client safety and mobility assistance
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety oversight
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Full and clean drivers license
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient-centred support and dignity
