We are now looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Fundraising & Partnerships to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in delivering our next phase of growth.
The Role
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for developing and delivering a strategic fundraising and income-generation programme that supports the long-term sustainability and growth of Tigers Trust.
Working closely with the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees, you will lead our fundraising strategy across multiple income streams, build high-value partnerships and develop new opportunities to increase income and impact.
You will oversee fundraising activity including:
- Corporate partnerships and sponsorship
- Major donors and high-value giving
- Trusts and foundations
- Statutory and philanthropic funding
- Individual giving
- Community fundraising
- Legacy giving
- Fundraising campaigns, appeals and events
You will also provide strategic oversight of marketing and communications, ensuring we have a compelling narrative around our work and can clearly demonstrate our impact to supporters, funders and partners.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Income Generation
- Develop and deliver a long-term fundraising and income-growth strategy aligned with Tigers Trust's mission and organisational ambitions.
- Lead and oversee fundraising activity to achieve and exceed agreed income targets.
- Diversify income streams to strengthen the Trust's long-term financial sustainability.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of funding opportunities across corporate, statutory, philanthropic and individual sources.
- Secure significant income through high-value proposals, major donor cultivation and strategic partnerships.
- Lead effective donor stewardship to increase supporter engagement, retention and lifetime value.
- Oversee fundraising campaigns, appeals and events.
- Identify new fundraising opportunities, market trends and innovative approaches to income generation.
Partnerships & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate partners, major donors, funders and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to create shared value between Tigers Trust and its partners.
- Act as a senior ambassador for Tigers Trust at meetings, events and networking opportunities.
- Work closely with the Chief Executive and senior colleagues to develop and strengthen key relationships.
- Build strategic partnerships that enhance the Trust's profile, reach and impact.
Marketing & Communications
- Provide strategic oversight of marketing and communications activity.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager to develop and deliver an organisational marketing plan.
- Ensure the Trust's impact is communicated through compelling stories, campaigns and cases for support.
- Strengthen brand awareness and audience engagement.
- Implement and oversee effective CRM and supporter-management systems.
Leadership & Management
- Lead, motivate and develop the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising team.
- Set clear objectives, performance measures and development plans.
- Build a collaborative, ambitious and results-focused culture.
- Support recruitment, performance management and succession planning.
- Use data and insight to improve fundraising performance and supporter journeys.
Strategy, Finance & Governance
- Contribute to Tigers Trust's wider organisational strategy as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Provide regular fundraising performance reports and recommendations to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.
- Lead fundraising budgets, forecasts and income projections.
- Monitor return on investment and ensure resources are used effectively.
- Ensure fundraising activity complies with relevant legislation, regulation, data protection requirements and sector best practice.
- Promote a strong culture of safeguarding and ensure safeguarding is considered within strategic planning and decision-making.
About You
We are looking for an experienced senior fundraising professional with a proven track record of generating substantial income and developing successful fundraising strategies.
You will be a confident and inspirational leader who can build relationships at senior level, identify opportunities and turn them into sustainable income.
You will ideally have:
- Significant senior-level fundraising experience within the charity, not-for-profit or related sector.
- A proven track record of securing substantial income from a range of fundraising sources.
- Experience developing and delivering successful fundraising strategies.
- Experience managing communications, marketing and/or fundraising teams.
- Experience developing high-value donor, corporate and stakeholder relationships.
- Experience working with and reporting to senior leadership teams and boards.
- Experience using CRM systems and fundraising databases.
- Strong financial and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and networking abilities.
- Strong strategic planning and organisational skills.
- The ability to analyse data and use insight to improve fundraising performance.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- An entrepreneurial and innovative approach, with the confidence to identify opportunities and drive change.
A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject such as marketing, business or public relations is desirable, although equivalent professional experience will be considered.
A fundraising qualification from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising or equivalent would also be advantageous.
What We Offer
In return for your commitment and expertise, Tigers Trust offers:
- Salary of up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Full-time position – 37.5 hours per week.
- Flexible working.
- 20 days' annual leave plus 8 bank/public holidays, increasing to 25 days after 5 years.
