Sales Consultant (Part-time) – St Albans City Centre
T.M. Lewin is opening a new store in St Albans in August 2026, and we’re looking for part-time Keyholders to join the team and play a vital role supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in running daily operations, driving sales, and leading the team on the shop floor. This role is perfect for someone with solid retail experience who wants to take the next step toward management.
Hours are flexible, with opportunities on a part-time basis. Please indicate your availability as part of the application process.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties
- Open and close the store independently, ensuring security and operational standards are met
- Handle cashing up, safe checks, and banking responsibilities when required
- Take charge on the shop floor in the absence of senior management
Sales & Service Leadership
- Deliver outstanding customer service, setting the standard for the team
- Coach colleagues on sales techniques, product knowledge, and upselling
- Help maintain TM Lewin’s “Shirt Expert” service reputation
Visual Merchandising & Store Standards
- Maintain floor presentation and visual merchandising to brand standards
- Oversee stock rotation, replenishment, and promotional setups during peak trading
Team Development
- Support the training and onboarding of new colleagues
- Clearly communicate sales targets, promotions, and daily priorities to the team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous retail experience essential; leadership or keyholder background strongly preferred
- Comfortable taking responsibility and solving problems independently
- Positive, collaborative communicator who enjoys working in a team
- Passion for tailoring, fashion, and delivering a premium shopping experience
- Flexibility to cover a range of shifts, including weekends, early opens, and late closes
Pay & Benefits
- £13.95 per hour (UK Real Living Wage)
- Monthly performance-linked commission
