Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced energetic and dedicated After School Club Assistant at High Ash, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, to join our vibrant team! This role is perfect for someone who already has an enhanced DBS and lots of experience. You will be passionate about working with children and eager to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment after school hours, in a sports setting. As an integral part of our after-school program, you will support children’s development, facilitate fun activities, and ensure their well-being in a lively, positive setting. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a welcoming space where children can learn, play, and grow beyond the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children doing sport during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Lead engaging activities that promote social interaction, creativity, and physical activity
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including activity areas and outdoor spaces
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns
- Support children with personal care needs
- Collaborate with team members to plan and implement diverse activities that cater to different interests and age groups
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, nannying or similar roles is required - please do not apply if you have not had experience
- Strong understanding of child development principles and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to drive is preferred for transporting children or supplies when necessary
- Passionate about working with children and creating positive experiences for them
- Flexibility to work afternoons on weekdays during school terms
- Reliable, energetic, and motivated to contribute to a dynamic team environment
