About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the Propulsion New Product Delivery Team at JCB Power Systems. Reporting to the Programme Manager - Propulsion, you will join a dynamic team focused on delivering innovative new products and major product upgrades that support our ambitious growth plans and expanding market share.
This role is ideal for an experienced project professional with a strong background in new product introduction, who can effectively coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project performance, and drive successful delivery against demanding timelines and objectives.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Facilitate project teams in achieving project plans, reporting progress and proactively managing risks.
- Ensure cross-functional teams achieve agreed deliverables and key project milestones.
- Lead projects through the JCB New Product Introduction Process (NPIP), ensuring governance and compliance at every stage.
- Maintain and track project plans, master schedules, engineering timing plans, project metrics, parts trackers and PCM documentation.
- Provide clear, concise and timely communication on project status to stakeholders across the business.
- Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering and Finance teams to develop and maintain project cost tracking and financial reporting.
- Monitor and report project financial performance, including BOM costs, pricing and budget status.
- Prepare and coordinate project gate review documentation and approvals.
- Support the successful delivery of multiple concurrent programmes, ensuring business objectives are achieved.
This will be suited to you if
- Previous experience in a Project Manager role within a new product introduction or product development environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI/NPIP) processes.
- Excellent planning, organisational and project coordination skills.
- The ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels across the business.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to motivate, influence and lead cross-functional teams.
- A proactive, self-motivated and flexible approach, with a keen sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Good commercial awareness and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret and manage project financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project, with advanced Excel skills.
