Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated night care assistant and night Senior care assistant to join our friendly team. In this role, you will provide a high standard of care and support, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact to the lives of others.
Duties:
- Work as part of a team to assist residents with timely and person-centred personal care.
- Be familiar with and follow each residents' personalised care plans, with particular attention to their hydration, nutritional and dietary needs, ensuring these are supported and monitored in line with their care requirements.
- Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues, to keep clear and accurate records, to report any concerns to managers and deputies clearly and with accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions promptly.
- Support residents in engaging with social activities and maintaining their independence where possible.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care in a respectful and dignified manner.
Qualifications:
- Experience in care is desirable, however full training will be provided; a desire to provide high standards of care is essential.
- Level 2 QCF in health and social care or a willingness to undertake this qualification is desirable, Level 3 QCF in health and social care if applying for the senior position.
- The ability to work well with a small team overnight.
- The ability to form a part of the wider team, working with positivity to achieve shared goals.
- IT skills for maintaining digital records and communicating effectively with team members are an advantage.
- The ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to providing high-quality care are essential attributes for success in this role.
