Purpose of the Role
To provide efficient and accurate financial administration support across the PH Care Group. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of financial transactions, maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger
· Processing supplier invoices onto Sage.
· Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes where applicable.
· Reconciling supplier statements.
· Investigating and resolving invoice queries.
· Preparing supplier payment schedules.
Sales Ledger
· Raising private resident invoices.
· Issuing invoices to Local Authorities and NHS organisations.
· Maintaining accurate customer account records.
· Allocating receipts to customer accounts.
· Assisting with debt collection activities.
Banking
· Posting daily bank transactions.
· Assisting with bank reconciliations.
· Monitoring incoming payments.
· Identifying and escalating payment discrepancies.
Payroll Support
· Collating payroll information from care homes.
· Checking payroll submissions for completeness.
· Entering payroll information into payroll systems for review.
· Maintaining payroll records and filing.
Financial Administration
· Filing and maintaining financial records.
· Supporting audits and inspections.
· Assisting with month-end processes.
· Maintaining resident funding records.
General Duties
· Providing administrative support to the finance department.
· Supporting care home managers with finance-related queries.
· Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
· Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the role.
Skills & Experience
Essential
· Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
· Experience using Microsoft Excel.

· Experience using Sage

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
