The Role
As a UK & European Courier Driver, you'll be responsible for collecting and delivering time-sensitive freight across the UK and mainland Europe. Every day is different, with a variety of routes, customers and cargo, making this an ideal role for drivers who enjoy travel and working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all road transport regulations.
- Complete both UK and European deliveries, including overnight and long-distance journeys.
- Load and unload freight safely and securely.
- Ensure all delivery, customs and transport documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers, customs officials and our operations team.
- Represent Durham European Couriers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum age of 25 years (insurance requirement).
- Full UK driving licence (or recognised EU equivalent).
- Comfortable working nights and flexible hours when required.
- Willing to travel throughout the UK and Europe.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Previous courier or European driving experience is desirable but not essential, as full customs training can be provided.
What We Offer
- £14.50 per hour.
- Typical working week of 45-56 hours - Overtime paid after 40 hours
- 1-3 days off each week, depending on operational requirements.
