Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Meat Trader to join our team and drive our meat procurement and sales operations. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality meat products, negotiating favorable deals with suppliers, and building strong relationships with clients. Duties
- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with meat suppliers to secure the best deals
- Develop and maintain B2B (business-to-business) relationships with vendors and clients
- Manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery coordination
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally
- Organize and document all transactions, contracts, and correspondence for efficient record-keeping
- Drive company vehicles as needed to visit suppliers or deliver products safely and on time
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Valid driving license with experience in safe driving practices
- Knowledge of IT systems for order management, inventory tracking, and reporting
- Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude towards client needs
- Familiarity with the meat industry standards, quality control processes, and safety regulations
