Derbyshire Academy of Performing Arts is a thriving, multi-award-winning performing arts school with a genuine family feel. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Teacher to join our growing team.
About the Role
This exciting role will involve teaching on Tuesday evenings 4:30pm-8pm as well as helping to establish and lead our brand-new Musical Theatre Company on Sundays potentially 10am-3pm
Our new Musical Theatre Company will focus on developing well-rounded performers through high-quality training in: Acting, Singing and Dance separately and then combined.
Students will work towards exciting performances throughout the year, including our two annual productions, with plans to introduce additional showcases specifically for our Musical Theatre Company.

Essential Requirements
Experience teaching children and young people
Strong background in Musical Theatre and Dance
Current Enhanced DBS Check
Relevant teaching and/or performing arts qualifications
Ability to work as a self-employed teacher
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable
Professional industry experience in Musical Theatre, Dance or Performing Arts
Experience choreographing performances
Experience directing or producing shows
Singing teaching experience
