Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Referral Administrator to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage the referral process, ensuring smooth communication between patients, healthcare providers, and our internal teams. Your proactive approach will help streamline patient pathways, enhance service efficiency, and support our mission of providing safe, effective eye care through innovative models.
Duties
- Manage incoming referral requests via phone, email, and online portals with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Verify referral information for accuracy and completeness before processing
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate timely patient appointments and follow-ups
- Maintain organised records of all referrals, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding appointment details and next steps in their care journey
- Collaborate with internal teams to prioritise urgent referrals and escalate issues as needed
- Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on referral processes and suggesting enhancements
Qualifications
- Previous office experience demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional patient service
- Knowledge of healthcare or medical administration is a plus but not essential
