Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a takeaway assistant. This role involves preparing and serving food for takeaway orders, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer service. Duties
- Prepare and assemble takeaway meals according to company standards and customer specifications
- Assist with meal preparation, including cooking, plating, and packaging food items
- Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly adhered to during preparation and service
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing up and sanitising surfaces
- Manage stock levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or issues
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with general cleaning duties in the kitchen and service areas as required
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal assembly processes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience in serving customers or working in a fast-paced food service environment is advantageous
- Skills in culinary arts, meal preparation, and kitchen organisation will be beneficial for success in this role
