Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. Duties
- Process and verify invoices using accounting software Sage & Insphire to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Manage accounts payable functions by preparing payments and reconciling vendor statements
- Enter financial data accurately into various accounting systems.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to support financial stability
- Maintain organized records of transactions, invoices, and receipts for audit readiness
- Support month-end closing activities by preparing reports and ensuring all data entries are complete
- Collaborate with the finance and operational teams to resolve discrepancies and improve overall accounting procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage is essential.
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience in Credit Control is essential.
- Experience of posting bank transactions is essential.
- Experience in CIS is desirable.
- Experience of using Excel is essential.
Pay: £18,000.00-£18,750.00 per year
