Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and diagnosing a variety of motorised vehicles. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The Motor Mechanic will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our fleet and machinery.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on various types of vehicles
- Diagnose faults using schematics, mechanical knowledge, and diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Perform complex repairs including engines, transmission repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Assist with equipment assembly and installation as required.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair issues clearly to clients or supervisors
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimise future breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role within an automotive or machinery environment.
- Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical systems, and electrical components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools,
- Experience with equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting methods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Customer service experience is advantageous for interacting with clients or internal teams effectively.

Hours can be altered to suit, must be professional and competent in all aspects of mechanical work and fault finding
The correct candidate will be provided with further training in hybrid vehicle and chance to become a qualified mot tester
Pay: £26,112.55-£53,204.58 per year
