Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Skip Hire Manager to oversee all aspects of our skip hire operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing logistics, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient utilisation of resources within the waste management sector. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes, transportation management systems, and waste management. The Skip Hire Manager will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of safety and service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily skip hire operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and routing of wagons and equipment.
- Supervise a team of drivers and administrative staff to ensure smooth workflow and high performance.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Complete the Environmental Agency Waste Return every quarter
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within logistics and waste management
- Experience with transportation management systems
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
