14 Hours per week 41 weeks per year. Grade 2 SCP 3 equivalent to £12.85/hour
Hours of work - Mon - Fri 3pm - 5.50pm
The governors are seeking to appoint the post of part-time cleaner to commence soon as possible.
You will be part of a team working within the school using appropriate materials and equipment.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
· To undertake duties in a safe working environment, being aware of yourself and those around you and to follow good health and safety practices
· Undertaking normally as a member of a team, or individually, the cleaning of designated areas within the school which may from time to time be varied
· To ensure designated areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition in accordance with the agreed schedule.
· Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, buffing, emptying of litter-bins, polishing and dusting of designated areas;
o To clean all surfaces, fixtures and fittings
o To clean floors, walls, partitions and internal woodwork as appropriate
o To clean toilets, changing rooms and other sanitary areas
o To clean equipment after use
o To undertake special cleaning programmes during school closure or other designated periods in compliance with the specification for the premises
o To collect and dispose of waste in the appropriate manner
o To clean and maintain waste bins
· Using where appropriate powered equipment.
