Due to our further expansion, we have a number of vacancies at our Rhymney site for General recycling operators starting immediately.
Processing operations mainly consist of:
· Recycling of Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
· Dismantling of TV’s /Monitors (CRT,FPD,LCD & LED) /Computers recovering recyclable commodities whilst safely disposing of hazardous content.
Operator Duties to include:
- Dismantling and sorting of WEEE
- Operation of shredding and size reduction machinery
- Accurate recording of data & completion of process paperwork.
- Manual handling / loading of electrical items onto vehicles at times (Drivers Mate)
- Manual sorting of incoming mixed materials (dry material only, no black bag waste)
Successful Candidates
You will need to:
- Be enthusiastic, flexible, willing to learn and be able to work unsupervised or in a team once full training is provided.
- Enjoy a challenge and be keen to develop themselves further
- Be available to work the day shift from 6am to 4pm Monday to Friday

If you are interested in the role, we are offering a two-hour unpaid work trial for you to try out the work and see what the job entails and whether it's right for you, as well as giving us an opportunity to assess your suitability for the role. You will need to attend a site safety briefing prior to the work trial and you will be given the opportunity to work in several process areas under the direct supervision of the shift managers.
If you are successful, you will be offered a 47.5-hour. You will also be given access to the company perks and benefits scheme where you will have access to discounts for major high street stores and supermarkets, travel, days out etc.
If you have a FLT training certificate this will be an advantage but is not essential as training may be provided to applicants successfully completing their probationary period.
